About Us

Samson Piuggi’s foundation in mechanics started early, rebuilding a 1967 Ford F100 and converting a 1970 Boston Whaler into a shallow water flats style boat before founding Samsons Customs in 2016. He is a licensed USCG 50-Ton Master Captain with extensive on water experience, giving him a unique perspective on boat performance. 

After refining his skills in cold molded construction at Tidal Creek Boatworks, Samson now builds custom vessels that balance craftsmanship, real-world utility, and precision.

Michael T. Allen founded Tidal Creeks Boat Works in February 2007. Mike’s boatbuilding experience dates to 1986 when he was serving in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Homestead, Florida, Mike would often visit his father who had been spending time pursuing his hobby job with a local Naples Florida boat builder, Michael Fitz Custom Boats.

Since that time, Mike has owned and operated several successful Nantucket boat building and repair businesses. In 2007, Mike built a state-of-the-art boat building facility located at 58 Bunker Rd where he now operates Tidal Creeks Boat Works with his talented and experienced team.

For Mike, building a solid team is as important as crafting the perfect boat.  He’s emphatic on the fact that it is team work that makes it possible for him to pursue his passion. James Vincent, Will Smith, and Mike Ricker round out the Tidal Creeks Boat Works operation.
